Qualifications

  • Experience in delivering services within statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency settings.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a Caseworker to join the Hampshire & Isle of Wight Domestic Abuse team, working 37.5 hours per week.

Location: Western Police Investigation Centre, Southern Road, Southampton, Hampshire SO15 1AN

Type: Full time, 37.5 hours/week

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8am-8pm, Saturdays 8am-4pm (shift work according to rota pattern)

Salary: £26,010.00 per annum

Contract: Permanent

Requirements: DBS and police vetting required

About the role:

You will work a hybrid schedule, 3 days in Southampton and 2 days remote.

As a Domestic Abuse Caseworker, you will:

  • Develop, deliver, and monitor safety/support plans for those affected by domestic abuse
  • Liaise with local providers to share information and support options
  • Maintain accurate, confidential records using a case management system
  • Work collaboratively with staff and volunteers for seamless service delivery

You will need:

  • Understanding of domestic abuse impact on victims
  • Effective communication skills
  • Experience in delivering services within statutory, voluntary, or multi-agency settings
  • Ability to manage competing needs and work independently or as part of a team
  • Building effective relationships with stakeholders
  • Resilience to handle emotional or sensitive demands
  • Caseload management skills, including complex cases
  • Competency with IT applications
