Band 6 Caseload Manager / Lead Nurse

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Band 6 Caseload Manager/Lead Nurse to join our Thanet Community Nursing Teams, based at the new £10million state‑of‑the‑art Thanet Health Hub.

Job summary

Our new hub, opening Autumn 2025, supports the Government’s 10‑year plan to place community care at the heart of the NHS. You will manage patients with complex needs, develop assessment and treatment plans, and support junior colleagues’ professional development.

Main duties of the job
  • Plan and deliver complex care for community patients.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team, using your clinical expertise and judgement.
  • Support and mentor junior staff, fostering their growth and the future workforce.
  • Maintain up‑to‑date clinical practice, using evidence‑based procedures and clinical effectiveness frameworks.
  • Signpost patients and families to appropriate services and support behaviour change.

Job responsibilities

  • Awareness of NHS developments, National Service Frameworks and NICE guidance.

  • Up‑to‑date clinical practice, evidence‑based procedures and a full understanding of the role’s remit.
