Job description

To provide excellence in customer service, contributing to the delivery of the Company's lending objectives by managing applications through the mortgage process.

Key responsibilities
  1. Administer the processing of mortgage applications from receipt to offer stage in accordance with the Company's policies.
  2. Observe regulatory and ethical standards.
  3. Adhere to policies and procedures.
  4. Deliver excellent customer service through attention to detail, problem solving, and communication.
  5. Provide timely and accurate responses to telephone calls, emails, and other communications regarding mortgage applications.
  6. Prepare fully packaged applications for underwriters.
  7. Liaise with brokers and third parties to obtain documentation and information.
  8. Make initial lending decisions and collaborate with underwriters to identify suitable applications.
  9. Follow up with brokers, customers, surveyors, and solicitors to ensure smooth application processing.
  10. Communicate decisions to brokers.
  11. Issue mortgage paperwork to brokers, customers, and solicitors.
  12. Input and update account and customer records.
  13. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  14. Operate in accordance with regulatory requirements and responsible lending policies.
  15. Comply with Money Laundering Regulations and the company's financial crime policies.
  16. Maintain records for affordability calculations, underwriting, questionnaires, etc., as per regulatory standards.
  17. Keep current knowledge of applicable regulations.
  18. Participate in training and professional development activities.
