Avon and Somerset Police is seeking a Case Assessor within the Criminal Justice, Road Safety Support Unit. You will review collisions files to ensure evidence supports charges or Postal Requisition (PR), and you will work with officers and staff to align with statutory time limits.

You will play a vital role in upholding justice and protecting communities by ensuring high-quality case files and timely processing, with blended working options and UK residency required.

Competenze

• Knowledge of prosecution files, the forms required and evidential content.
• Work with minimal supervision and on own initiative.
• Computer literate and able to use case management systems.
• Ability to prioritise and organise workload.
• Excellent communication skills, verbally and in writing.

Mansioni

• Review 1st appearance prosecution files for evidential content and quality.
• Quality check files submitted by district for 1st appearance files and provide feedback.
• Liaise with criminal justice agencies regarding prosecutions and requests.
• Record the quality of files on the relevant database and workload systems.
• Direct and guide officers on required evidence and completion of files.
• Keep up-to-date knowledge of criminal legislation, policies and procedures.
