Job description

Case & Management Support Officer (Hybrid) needed in Yeovil, £12.65phPAYE – Reference: RQ1530927

This role is maternity cover in the Environmental Health and Licensing business support team until 31/12/2025.

There will be some on-site working required, approximately 1 day a week, initially more for training purposes, at the offices in Yeovil.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Work as part of a multi-skilled case management and service support team to deliver statutory and non-statutory processes efficiently, providing high-quality, customer-focused service, ensuring adequate cover during opening hours.
  2. Be the first point of contact for service requests, including processing applications, notifications, queries, and complaints. Act as case officer, following procedures to ensure customer satisfaction, case investigation, problem-solving, and timely responses within statutory requirements.
  3. Maintain regular contact with businesses and the public, investigating cases, offering advice, negotiating, and influencing behaviour to achieve satisfactory outcomes under supervision.
  4. Identify appropriate methodologies for processing applications and resolving technical service requests, escalating to senior officers when necessary.
  5. Use experience and technical knowledge to manage cases and resolve service requests, applying current legislation and procedures with discretion within policy guidance.

This is a full-time, temporary contract role.
