Job summary

The Midland seeks a full-time carpentry supervisor to oversee on-site carpentry works, supported by the contracts manager and office team. Immediate start required.

Must have experience in first fix, second fix and roofs, with a strong construction background. SSSTS/SMSTS is desirable, training can be provided. Strong communication, organisational skills and the ability to manage client expectations are essential.

• Monitor materials and manage site logistics as needed.

MCG are seeking a full-time working carpentry supervisor. Responsibilities include overseeing the carpentry works on our site. Supported by the company contracts manager and office team. Immediate start required.

• Must be experienced in first fix, second fix and roofs.
• Ensure all Health and Safety regulations are met.
• Ensure administrational requirements are met.
• Manage client expectations.
• Monitor project material (fixings).
• Liaise with clients regarding site issues, queries and concerns and issue reports where applicable.
• Maintaining quality & safety control procedures.
• Motivating and driving the workforce in a productive and time effective manner.
• Possess a strong construction background, with previous experience or looking for career progression.
• Excellent management skills with the ability to get the best out of the site teams.
• The ideal candidate will hold a SSSTS or SMSTS certificate but not essential as training can be provided.
• A strong desire to improve individually as well as helping others. You will be a strong communicator, with excellent organisational skills.
