Job summary

New City College in Rainham seeks a dynamic Lecturer Carpentry to inspire and teach 16-19-year-olds and adults across levels 1–3. The role offers commitment to professional development and 52 days holiday, with full funding for a Level 5 Certificate in Education.

The successful candidate will bring industry expertise in Carpentry, hold a Level 3 Carpentry qualification, and pursue the Level 5 teaching qualification; teaching experience is welcome but not required as training is provided.

Qualifications

• Industry professional with strong communication and organisational skills.
• Must hold Level 3 Carpentry qualification and have industry expertise.
• Willingness to obtain Level 5 Certificate in Education; assessor qualification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Teach and assess learning on a range of courses from level 1 to level 3, for 16-18s and adults.
• Work effectively as a member of a dynamic team and liaise with the Senior Curriculum Manager.
• Pursue ongoing professional development related to carpentry and teaching/assessing responsibilities.
