Job summary

Cheshire College South & West is seeking a Lecturer in Construction (Carpentry & Joinery – Multi-Skilled) at the Ellesmere Port Campus. The role is permanent, 37 hours per week, with a salary range of £28,997 to £43,748 per annum.

The successful candidate will deliver practical workshops, assess learners and maintain accurate progress records, contributing to a supportive lecturer development program and a strong learning environment.

Qualifications

• Higher level qualification (Level 3 or above) in relevant discipline.
• Assessor Qualification (TAQA/A1 or equivalent) or commitment to work towards.
• Verifier Award (or commitment to work towards).
• Experience in multi-skills (Carpentry and Joinery).
• PGCE or commitment to work towards.
• Proven experience in the Construction industry.
• Understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion in work and the learning environment.
• Enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Develop the practical skills through demonstrations and instruction in practical workshops and realistic working environments;
• Assess learners against identified frameworks;and
• Keep accurate records forlearners’progress inCollegeand the workplace.
