Job summary

DN Colleges Group in Doncaster is seeking a motivated Carpentry & Joinery professional to join our Construction team, delivering practical and classroom-based training to apprentices, assessing competence, and supporting learners to complete their apprenticeship and progress into sustainable employment.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification in Carpentry & Joinery or significant industry experience.
• Experience of training, coaching or assessing apprentices.
• Up-to-date vocational knowledge of carpentry and joinery.
• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive learning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging on- and off-the-job training to Carpentry & Joinery apprentices.
• Assess apprentices against apprenticeship standards in both training and workplace settings.
• Provide constructive feedback to support progress and achievement.
• Work closely with employers to monitor apprentice development and contribute to progress reviews.
• Prepare learning materials and assessment activities in line with awarding body and funding requirements.
• Support apprentices in preparing for End Point Assessment (EPA).
• Maintain a safe, well-organised workshop and learning environment.
• Contribute to curriculum development, quality improvement and team activities.
