Job summary

An exciting and challenging position has arisen for a Level 2 Apprenticeship in Carpenter / Joiner progressing to Level 3 within The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Support service installations and their maintenance are an essential part of the NHS and form a vital link in healthcare provision. Main duties of the job

The apprenticeship will start during the week commencing 25th August 2025, subject to employment checks. Entry qualifications include a minimum of GCSE Grade 4, or equivalent, in at least 5 subjects, including Mathematics.

Job responsibilities

Eligibility for Apprenticeship: You must meet all criteria, including:

  • Right to work and remain in the UK
  • Residency in the UK for at least 3 years
  • Original evidence of required English and maths qualifications

Additional information:

  • Applicants with higher or equivalent qualifications in similar subjects are ineligible
  • Cannot be enrolled in other funded training or education programs
  • Cannot be sponsored during or after the apprenticeship; visa status must be eligible
