Job Title: Working Carpentry Foreman
Location: Oxfordshire (projects across Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds & Berkshire)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Company Overview: Our client is a well-established main contractor based in Oxfordshire, specialising in high-end residential refurbishments and bespoke new-build projects across Oxfordshire, the Cotswolds, and Berkshire. Due to continued growth and demand, they are looking for an experienced and motivated Working Carpentry Foreman to join their team.

This role offers the chance to work on prestigious, design-led projects where attention to detail and craftsmanship are key.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and work hands-on with the carpentry team on-site.
  • Supervise day-to-day carpentry works including 1st fix, 2nd fix, bespoke joinery installation, and finishing works.
  • Ensure all works meet the highest standards of quality and detail, particularly on high-end residential projects.
  • Coordinate with Site Managers, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure smooth progress.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Manage workloads, delegate tasks, and monitor progress.
  • Uphold health & safety standards and ensure compliance with site procedures.
  • Problem-solve on-site issues efficiently while keeping projects on schedule.
Key Requirements / Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Carpentry Foreman (working foreman role).
  • Strong carpentry background with an eye for detail, particularly within luxury residential projects.
  • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery or equivalent trade qualification.
  • CSCS card (Skilled Worker minimum).
  • SSSTS or SMSTS certification (preferred).
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality finishes under tight deadlines.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
