Job summary

JLL Workplace Management is seeking a Fabric Maintenance Engineer to perform planned and reactive maintenance at Queensgate Shopping Centre, Peterborough. The role focuses on PPM adherence, carpentry tasks, fire door upkeep, and AHU servicing, with involvement in health and safety processes and contractor management.

Core hours are 08:00–18:00, with a shift pattern of 5 days on, 3 days off or 4 days on, 4 days off.

Qualifications

• Fabric Engineer apprenticeship or Carpentry & Joinery qualifications.
• Proven post-apprenticeship practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance in line with PPM schedules and task plans.
• General carpentry, fire door maintenance and repair, AHU cleaning/servicing, basic plumbing and drainage repairs.
• Weekly fire alarm testing and taps flushing; patch repairs to walls/floors; shelving/racking installation and repairs.
• Manage JLL sub-contractors on site; escalate major issues to line manager.
• Produce technical/situational reports; maintain clear communication with team and clients.
• Undertake health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance duties as required.
