Overview

Location: Reading college
Salary: Up to £42,182 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent (37 hours per week)


About the Role

As an Assessor in Carpentry, you will deliver high-quality training and assessment to Level 2 & Level 3 Carpentry Apprentices across Berkshire. Working in real-world workplace environments, you’ll ensure apprentices gain the practical skills, knowledge, and industry experience needed to excel in their careers.


Key responsibilities


  • Delivering engaging training and assessment to apprentices across Level 2 & 3 Apprenticeships.

  • Monitoring learner progress, developing and ensuring the Apprentices meet apprenticeship standards.

  • Assess practical skills and theoretical knowledge in line with professional benchmarks.

  • Support apprenticeship recruitment, retention, and achievement targets.

  • Administer assessments and contribute to internal verification to maintain quality assurance

  • Build strong industry relationships, enhancing employment opportunities for learners.


What you need to be successful

To be successful in this role, you should have:



  • NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry (or equivalent).

  • Assessing qualification (A1, TAQA, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one
