The Manchester College is looking for an experienced Carpentry and Joinery teacher to inspire learners with practical skills and industry insight. We have an exciting opportunity at our Openshaw campus to join our Automotive, Construction, Engineering and Logistics Department as a Carpentry and Joinery Teacher on a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) basis.

Our Openshaw campus is a vibrant, modern hub of learning, equipped with outstanding, industry-standard facilities designed to inspire both staff and students. Located just outside Manchester city centre, the campus offers a wide range of vocational and academic courses, with specialist spaces for areas such as construction, engineering, health, and digital.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Certificate of education or PGCE
  • Current and valid industry specialism
  • Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation)
  • Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification
  • English and maths minimum level 2 Grace C or grade 4 and above
