Job summary

Workshop Recruitment is looking for a skilled Carpenter to support a busy housing maintenance contract in Fareham. Initially, you will work primarily on void properties before potentially progressing onto day-to-day responsive repairs.

This temporary Carpenter opportunity offers a minimum of two months' work, with the potential to develop into a permanent position. You will typically work 40 hours per week at £26 per hour.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant carpentry or building maintenance experience.
• NVQ Level 2-3 in Carpentry or equivalent.
• Knowledge of building materials, methods and repair techniques.
• Ability to carry out first and second fix carpentry work.
• Own van and tools are required.

Responsibilities

• Complete responsive, routine and void property carpentry repairs.
• Carry out first and second fix carpentry work.
• Fit and repair doors, frames, ironmongery and associated timberwork.
• Complete kitchen installation and repair works.
• Undertake ceramic wall tiling and vinyl floor tiling where required.
• Protect residents' property and leave work areas clean and tidy.
• Take ownership of allocated jobs through to completion.
• Maintain accurate records and complete works safely and efficiently.
