Job summary

Skilled Careers in Croydon is seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our Social Housing Repairs & Maintenance team. You will perform carpentry repairs in occupied properties with a focus on quality and resident care.

Role involves 8-5 hours, Monday to Friday, with a van and fuel provided. A full UK driving licence is required and DBS/background checks will be conducted. Long-term employment opportunities available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Carpenter in property maintenance or social housing.
• Recognised carpentry/joinery qualification or equivalent experience.
• Strong practical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience carrying out responsive repairs in occupied properties.
• Good understanding of health and safety requirements.
• Able to work independently and manage daily workload.

Responsibilities

• Carry out responsive repairs, planned maintenance and void property works.
• Complete a wide range of carpentry and joinery repairs.
• Doors, frames and locks; skirting boards and architraves; flooring.
• Kitchens and units; repairs to timber structures and fixtures.
• General carpentry and joinery works; assess defects.
• Maintain records, visit timescales and health & safety compliance.
