Job summary

Hyde Group in Stockwell is seeking a Carpenter - Multi Trades to perform multi-trade repairs in customers' homes, with a primary focus on carpentry. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain doors, frames, flooring, kitchens, and more while delivering excellent customer service.

You will work independently to manage your workload, record work and materials, and ensure safety standards are met. A full UK driving licence is required for this role.

Qualifications

• Solid carpentry experience with ability to carry out general maintenance and multi-trade repairs.
• Proficient with hand and power tools and safe working practices.
• Able to work autonomously and manage workload effectively.
• Customer-friendly communication and excellent service delivery.
• Physically capable of hands-on field work.
• UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out multi-trade repairs with primary focus on carpentry in customers' homes.
• Diagnosing and resolving day-to-day repairs including doors, frames, flooring, and fixtures.
• Completing carpentry repairs to kitchens, bathrooms, doors and windows to a high standard.
• Undertaking related works such as patch plastering, decorating touch-ups, tiling, and fittings replacement.
• Managing own workload while collaborating on complex repairs with other trades.
• Accurately recording work, materials used, and updating progress in systems.
• Delivering excellent customer service and keeping residents informed during repairs.
• Ensuring all work complies with Hyde health and safety policies.

Carpenter - Multi Trades

Location : Stockwell

Salary : Up to £38,000

If you're an experienced Carpenter who can turn your hand to a range of jobs and takes pride in your work, we'd like to hear from you.

As a Carpenter, you'll be working in our customers' homes carrying out day-to-day repairs and maintenance, delivering an exceptional customer service.

What you'll be doing

• Carrying out multi-trade repairs, with a primary focus on carpentry, while undertaking a range of general maintenance tasks as required.
• Diagnosing and resolving day-to-day repairs including doors, locks, frames, skirting, architraves, flooring, kitchen units, worktops, minor wall repairs, tiling, and basic plumbing-related repairs.
• Completing carpentry repairs and associated works to kitchens, bathrooms, doors, windows, and other areas of customers' homes to a high standard.
• Undertaking associated works such as patch plastering, sealing, decorating touch-ups, minor tiling, and replacing fixtures, fittings, handles, locks, and ironmongery.
• Working independently to manage your own workload while collaborating with other trades on more complex repairs and projects.
• Accurately recording work completed, materials used, and updating progress through work orders and reporting systems.
• Delivering excellent customer service and keeping residents informed throughout the repair process.
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with Hyde's health and safety policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
• Providing a professional, friendly service to customers in their homes

What we're looking for

• Solid experience across carpentry with the ability to undertake other general maintenance and multi-trade repairs.
• Confident using hand and power tools
• Able to work independently and manage your own workload
• Good communication skills and a customer-friendly attitude
• Physically fit and happy with hands-on work
• Experience working in social housing is a bonus
• A full, valid UK driving licence
