Fortem Cares seeks a skilled Carpenter to maintain and repair social housing across North Kent. The role involves high-quality work, minimal supervision, and excellent customer service. Due to continued successful growth, we have an excellent opportunity to join our Fortem team working permanently with our partners at Town & Country Housing Repairs as a Carpenter Multi Skilled Trade in our Responsive Repairs team.
The Carpenter Multi Trade will be responsible for most aspects of property maintenance and repairs to Social Housing Properties covering a patch that stretches across North Kent, including Tunbridge Wells, Rochester, Dartford, and surrounding areas. Travel is essential.
Core Hours are Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm.
As a Carpenter Multi Trade, you will ensure all work is undertaken to a high standard with minimal supervision. You will take ownership of your work, aiming for 'First time Fix' on all jobs, operate within company Health and Safety guidelines, and stay within budget and time parameters, while maintaining courtesy and professionalism around tenants.
Town & Country Housing Repairs deliver a full Repairs and Maintenance service, Voids, and Retrofit services to almost 9,000 houses. Their business plan outlines the potential to double in size and value, leading to growth and development opportunities.
Essential criteria: NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent / OR qualified by experience; Full UK driving licence (max 5 points).
Desirable criteria: Social Housing experience.
