Fortem Cares is seeking to hire a Carpenter Multi Skilled Trade for their Responsive Repairs team to handle property maintenance and repairs within Social Housing across North Kent. The ideal candidate will work autonomously, aiming for high-quality finishes while ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, providing excellent service to clients, and utilizing a company van for travel.
Due to continued successful growth, we have an excellent opportunity to join our Fortem team working permanently with our partners at Town & Country Housing Repairs as a Carpenter Multi Skilled Trade in our Responsive Repairs team.
The Carpenter Multi-Trade will be responsible for most aspects of property maintenance and repairs to Social Housing Properties covering a patch that stretches across North Kent, including Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone, Dartford, and surrounding areas. Travel is essential.
Core hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
As a Carpenter Multi-Trade, you will ensure all work is undertaken to a high standard with minimal supervision. You will take ownership of work, aiming for 'First Time Fix' on all jobs, operating within health and safety guidelines, and remaining within budget and time parameters, while maintaining courteous and professional interactions with tenants.
Town & Country Housing Repairs deliver a full Repairs and Maintenance service, including Voids and Retrofit services to nearly 9,000 houses. Their business plan aims to double in size and value, offering growth and development opportunities.
Essential criteria: NVQ/City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent, or qualified by experience; Full UK driving licence (max 5 points).
Desirable criteria: Experience in Social Housing.
