SUMMARY OF ROLE

You will ensure high client satisfaction through maintenance and repair services, maintaining a safe environment while working effectively and efficiently, adapting to changing priorities.

Relevant qualifications and broad domestic and commercial experience in core trade are required, with additional skills to handle tasks outside your primary trade.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Diagnose and repair faults within your trade and related requests
  • Maintain high standards of work quality
  • Respond promptly to emergencies and resolve issues efficiently
  • Work efficiently and cost-effectively, minimizing non-productive time and reporting difficulties
  • Follow Health & Safety rules, using risk assessments, method statements, and PPE as needed
  • Be willing to work out of hours if required

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Fit and fix mortice latch and latch set, door hanging, lining, and rebated frameworks
  • Kitchen installation, including mitred worktop joints
  • Effective communication using phone and PDA
  • Professionalism in dealing with tenants, even in contentious issues

KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED

  • Fabrication work, remodeling, and repairs to structures and frameworks
  • Experience with fire door installation
  • Competence in your trade area

QUALIFICATION REQUIRED

  • Trade-specific qualification, minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Carpentry
  • Competence in two secondary skills
  • Full current driving license

EXPERIENCE

  • Over 3 years of trade experience, preferably in residential repairs
  • Good knowledge of residential Building Regulations
  • At least 5 years’ experience in kitchen installations (1st and 2nd fix)
  • Laminate fitting experience (desirable)
