Job summary

Sovereign Network Group in Oxfordshire is seeking an experienced Carpenter Multi to join our Property Team. You will carry out carpentry repairs across our properties, perform 1st and 2nd fix carpentry, install windows and doors, service UPVC, and handle locksmithing and fencing tasks.

A business van and fuel card are provided for travel. You should have NVQ level 2 or 5 years of proven carpentry experience, a strong health and safety mindset, and enjoy working in a team.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry or 5+ years of proven carpentry experience.
• Strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of best practices.
• Team player who works well in a collaborative environment.
• Full-time role, 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities.
• Must hold a full driving licence with at least 1 year experience and be able to drive and take home the company van.

Responsibilities

• Carry out all forms of carpentry repairs in our properties as part of the Empty Homes Team and elsewhere as needed.
• Perform 1st fix and 2nd fix carpentry.
• Install windows, doors and door frames (internal and external).
• UPVC servicing and installation.
• Locksmithing and gaining entry as required.
• Fencing, gates and panels installation and repair.
• Kitchen fitting and minor joinery.
• General maintenance: plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating.

We're currently recruiting for an experienced/qualified Carpenter Multi to join our Property Team in ourOxfordshire locality. As you'll spend a fair amount of time on the road we will provide you with a business use van and fuel card so you'll not be out of pocket.

What you'll do:

• As a Carpenter you will carry out all forms of carpentry repairs in our properties as part ofour Empty Homes Teamand elsewhere depending on demands.
• 1stfix and 2ndfix carpentry
• Install windows, doors, door frames - Internal and external.
• UPVC servicing andinstallation
• Locksmithing and gaining entry via lock snapping, drilling and picking.
• All types of fencing, posts, feather edge, chain link and panels.
• Kitchen fitting, kitchen building and minor joinery.
• Other duties to include basic plumbing, plastering, tiling, decorating and other general maintenance tasks

What you'll need:

• You should have experience within a similar role, ideally from within a Residential/Housing sector and must be qualified to a minimum of NVQ level 2 OR have a minimum of 5 years proven track record working in carpentry.
• Have a strong health and safety mindset with knowledge of health & safety best practices.
• Enjoy working as part of a team.
• This is a full time role, working 40 Hours per week, with the opportunity to supplement your salary through call out and overtime at competitive rates to enhance your earnings!
• Due to therequirement to travel, you must hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 years experience and have the ability to drive and take home a company van.
