Salary: £32,438.51 per annum
Contract: Permanent, full time, 39 hours per week
We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team at HMP Winchester, a category B adult male local prison. Our team works Monday to Friday as a supportive and driven family, aiming to create a safe and nurturing environment for the men in our care. The Facilities Maintenance Team supports the operation of the prison to ensure safe and smooth running, and the work you do impacts prisoners, staff, visitors and the wider community.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Administrators and Cleaners, who are dedicated to making a positive difference by providing a safe and secure environment.

Future Plans
GFSL has been notified by its shareholder (MOJ) that the provision of FM services will in future be delivered by the private sector. Following a successful procurement process, GFSL's services will transfer to a private sector provider/providers no sooner than August 2027.
