A leading housing services provider in Coatbridge is seeking a Carpenter & Joiner for a full-time permanent position. The role involves supporting refits and refurbishments in the North Lanarkshire area, handling joinery tasks, and delivering excellent customer service. Ideal candidates will have carpentry experience, social housing knowledge, and a valid UK driving license. Day to day duties:
You will be required to support the team with all refits, refurbishments to homes that we support in the North Lanarkshire area.
On daily jobs you will be tasked to go into properties and complete all works that is required. To be successful in this role, you must be able to work independently and as part of a team. You will have the confidence to walk into any property and react to any situation that faces you.
You will be provided with a PDA that will list your jobs on a daily basis, will work through your jobs one by one, updating your PDA when commuting, arriving at the property, assessing the works and completing the works. Materials will be stocked in the van and anything that you don’t have can be purchased from Jewsons and Hughs Gray, where we hold accounts.
Role Criteria:
All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
To drive a Mears vehicle, you must be aged over 21 have held your licence over 3 months and have less than 9 points.
Candidates should be aware that all our roles are subject to relevant Disclosure Scotland/Security checks before commencement of employment.
