A local council in Wales is seeking a Maintenance Carpenter to assist in the delivery of its Responsive Maintenance and Planned Maintenance Service. The ideal candidate will have a NVQ or CITB qualification in carpentry and experience in building maintenance. Responsibilities include repair and maintenance of council properties such as schools and offices. A company vehicle will be provided during working hours.
Location: Llandrindod / Newtown
About the role:
To work as part of a team assisting in the delivery of the Councils Responsive
Maintenance and Planned Maintenance Service by carrying out repair and
maintenance work on Corporate properties and related assets. (Schools, offices, depots, libraries).

About you:
• Previous experience of carrying out maintenance or repair works in a building maintenance environment.
• NVQ / CITB 2 year qualification in carpentry.
• Ability to work alone, or as part of a team
What you will do:
To carry out all work normally accepted within the building industry as that of a carpenter to Council related assets.
To carry out basic tasks normally associated with other trades that would reasonably be expected of any competent person engaged in building maintenance operations.
This position has a requirement for an Enhanced DBS Check
