We are seeking an experienced Carpenter to join our team at HMP Winchester, a category B adult male local prison.
Our team is more than just a group of colleagues - we work Monday to Friday as a supportive and driven family, working together to create a safe and nurturing environment for the men in our care.
The prison operates as a self-contained community, requiring hundreds of staff to keep it functioning. Our Facilities Maintenance Team is committed to ensuring smooth and safe operations, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside passionate colleagues from various trades, including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, and support staff, all dedicated to making a positive difference and providing a secure environment.
