Job summary

United Infrastructure is seeking experienced carpenters for kitchen and bathroom renewal projects in social housing across Stevenage. This long‑term, self‑employed opportunity offers steady work on a well‑organised programme in occupied properties.

You will perform kitchen fittings, install units, worktops, doors and architraves, and work alongside other trades to hit targets. UK right to work and own tools are required.

Qualifications

• CSCS card required and domestic/social housing experience preferred.
• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent is preferred.
• Basic H&S certifications (asbestos awareness) encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Kitchen fitting and bathroom carpentry works.
• Installing Kitchen units (approx. 6–12 units per day).
• Fitting worktops and worksurfaces.
• Installing fire doors (door only, no frame).
• Upgrading door hinges and handles.
• Installing architraves and skirting.
• Installing bath frames and bath panels.
• Installing plywood and wooden boxing.
• Building stud walls.
• Work with other trades to meet programme targets.
