Job summary

A prison services provider in Hemel Hempstead is looking for a Carpenter Locksmith to join their team. You will work in a challenging yet rewarding environment, using your skills to promote rehabilitation and ensure safety. Job Role: Carpenter Locksmith
Location: The Mount- Molyneaux Avenue, Hemel Hempstead, HP3 0NZ
Salary: £36,678.26
Contract: Full time/Perm

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team at HMP The Mount, a Category C male prison.

Join a team that works Monday to Sunday as a supportive and driven family, creating a safe and nurturing environment.

HMP The Mount operates like a self-contained town, and our Facilities Maintenance Team is committed to ensuring smooth and safe operations, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.

As a Carpenter Locksmith, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to providing a safe environment.

We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical services to HMPPS, seeking candidates with:

  1. Substantiated experience in a similar role
  2. Competency in using all associated power tools and machinery

  5. Up-to-date First Aid at Work Qualification
  6. City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 in Carpentry or equivalent, or substantial experience
