The role of Carpenter involves achieving “Right First Time” event builds within budget, adhering to all health and safety guidelines across various clients and markets, focusing on live events both large and small.

You will collaborate with production managers, project managers, operations managers, skilled carpenters, and operations teams to ensure all projects and live build installations meet and exceed client requirements.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

You will support build and carpentry tasks, including:

• Attending daily production meetings
• Working with production managers to develop build schedules and ideas
• Constructing at the production facility and on-site at client locations
• Liaising with clients and tradesmen onsite
• Experience with event and exhibition builds, festivals, and roadshows
• Working as part of a team, reliable, hardworking, able to take instructions or lead
• Understanding build drawings and following them for projects
• Working knowledge of drawings and planning in a busy environment
• Skilled in wood shop tools and machinery (wall saws, table saws, etc.)
• CNC experience is a plus; training provided.

THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED

• Excellent timekeeping and communication skills
• Ability to lift manually and work at heights
• Strong carpentry/joinery skills and experience
• Knowledge of Octanorm and event build systems is beneficial
• Knowledge of LED lighting systems and AV is beneficial
• Problem-solving skills, ability to meet deadlines, and good organization
• Multi-tasking and prioritization skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Willingness to participate in all aspects of event/exhibition builds
• Computer literacy (MS Office)
• Health and Safety training is desirable
