Job summary

Ford & Stanley Talentwise is seeking Joiners, Carpenters or Kitchen Fitters in Milton Keynes to overhaul passenger trains. You will assemble and fit mechanical components, interiors, flooring and seating according to engineering drawings, ensuring high quality finishes.

The role requires hands-on skills, ability to work from drawings, and a strong attention to detail in a manufacturing rail environment. Early and late shifts are available with uplift.

Qualifications

• Experience in Joinery, Carpentry, Kitchen fitting or related mechanical assembly roles.
• Background in vehicle/coaches, carpentry, joinery, kitchen fitting or manufacturing environments.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and work from instructions.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the assembly and fit of mechanical components to rail vehicles.
• Install and fit interiors, flooring, seating, panels and passenger comfort/safety equipment.
• Work from engineering drawings and instructions to complete overhaul of passenger trains.

• Carry outthe assembly and fit of mechanical components to rail vehicles
• Install and fit interiors, flooring, seating, panels and all other passenger comfort and safety equipment
• Must be able to work from engineering drawings and instruction.

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll bring experience of Joinery or Carpentry or Kitchen Fitting or mechanical assembly or coach building or a manufacturing environment.

• A background from sectors such as Vehicle Building, coach building, carpentry, joinery, kitchen fitting
• Experience of using hand and power tooling
• Have a strong attention to detail and producing a high quality finish
• Able to work on your own and as part of a team.
• Confidence working rotating shifts, including earlies, lates,

Essential Criteria
