At Flagship Services, we are seeking a skilled Carpenter to work as part of our Void works team to help us deliver exceptional service and quality for customers moving into our homes. Location: Dereham, Kings Lynn and surrounding areas. Flagship Services is part of . In this role you will work efficiently and safely and strive to minimise waste. Carrying out a range of carpentry and carpentry related works to support the repairs and maintenance of Flagship Properties. Using various tools and equipment, including a provided Flagship Services vehicle, you will carry out works including the installation and repair works to doors and windows, associated furniture, flooring, tiling and basic painting and decorating. You may support in the cleaning of damp and mould, carry out void clearances and flood repairs, and identify and arrange removal of asbestos when needed; ensuring we\'re spending time and money wisely, and providing the best possible service for our tenants. Ongoing cyclical compliance and safety training will be provided.

Responsibilities
  • Carrying out a range of carpentry and carpentry related works to support the repairs and maintenance of Flagship Properties.
  • Install and repair doors and windows, furniture, flooring, tiling, and carry out basic painting and decorating as required in void properties.
  • Support in the cleaning of damp and mould, carry out void clearances and flood repairs, and identify and arrange removal of asbestos when needed.
  • Use various tools and equipment, including a provided Flagship Services vehicle, and work safely to minimise waste.
Qualifications
  • Full trade apprenticeship, or NVQ Level 2 within a relevant trade or equivalent, including experience within carpentry.
  • Full, clean UK driving licence with willingness to travel across company properties.
  • Ability to complete a broad range of carpentry tasks, including repairs, installation of doors, windows, and skirting, and kitchen or bathroom fitting as required in void properties. Confident using appropriate tools and equipment, with an unwavering focus on health & safety.
  • Good problem-solving capabilities and a can-do attitude when faced with unforeseen challenges or emergency situations on-site.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for diverse interactions.
  • Competent in Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Teams and emails. Willing to use or learn to use tablet-based apps to receive and log jobs.
  • Willing to take part in the out-of-hours on call rota which may include Public Holidays.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a collaborative, customer-focused team.
  • Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service, treating every home and customer with care and respect.
