Job summary

James Andrews Recruitment is seeking a Carpenter for void property work in Cardiff for at least six months, starting immediately on a full-time basis. The role focuses on domestic properties, UPVC experience, and reactive maintenance.

Duties include installing kitchens, hanging doors, fitting skirting, UPVC windows/doors, and fencing. 37 hours per week, 8am-4pm Mon-Thu, Fri 8am-3:30pm. £22.50 per hour. Immediate start; prior social housing experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in social housing projects is essential.
• Experience with UPVC windows/doors is preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

Our client, based in Cardiff, is currently recruiting for a Carpenter to work on void properties for a minimum of the next six months.

The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The hourly rate is £22.50 per hour.

The ideal candidate will have experience working on domestic properties, and be comfortable working with UPVC.

Duties will include (but are not limited to):

• Installing kitchens within void properties
• Carrying out reactive maintenance on void properties
• Hanging doors and fitting skirting
• Fitting and repairing UPVC windows and doors
• Installing fencing and fence posts

Experience required:

• Experience required in Social Housing
• Ideally have experience with UPVC

Working hours:

• 37 hours per week
• Monday - Thursday, 8am-4pm, Friday 8am - 3:30pm
