Carpenter

Location: The Depot, CV9 3AH
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: 6+ Months
Working Hours: Mon Fri, 09 00, 37 Hours per week
Pay Rate: GBP 24.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of carpentry tasks, including the installation, maintenance, and repair of wooden structures and fixtures within the facilities.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities and Environmental Services team to ensure all carpentry work meets the required standards and specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to accurately execute projects.
  • Ensure all work is completed in compliance with health and safety regulations and organizational policies.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and report any issues promptly.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of projects, providing input on materials and timelines.

Person Specification
  • Proven experience in carpentry, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to carpentry work.
