An Electro-technical officer is responsible for the running and maintenance of the ship’s electro-technical equipment. This includes everything related to the electrical generating plant, electronic/automated control systems, bridge navigational equipment, and entertainment systems. This is your chance to kick-start your career in the international shipping industry. We are looking for candidates who have a passion for our industry and are keen to have the opportunity to combine industry experience while gaining a Foundation Degree or HND in Marine Electrical and Electronic Engineering.

As an electro-technical cadet, you will learn about the running and maintenance of the ship’s electro-technical equipment, including the electrical generating plant, electronic/automated control systems, bridge navigational equipment, and entertainment systems.

Before you apply, please ensure you hold the following:

• Four GCSEs or Scottish Certificate of Education equivalence at grade 9-5 (A* to C), including Maths, Science (with significant physical science content), and English
• Candidates must be UK or EEA citizens, be a resident in the UK for at least one year immediately prior to application, and have the right to live and work in the UK without restrictions
• An equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering (e.g., BTEC National Diploma or GNVQ Advanced) will be considered
