Job summary

St Joseph's Catholic Primary School in Loftus invites applications for an enthusiastic teaching assistant to support teaching and learning in our friendly, inclusive school. This term-time role includes lunchtime duty and requires a commitment to promoting pupil well-being and high standards of literacy and numeracy.

The post is fixed term until 31 August 2027, 32.5 hours per week, pro rata salary in the 26,847–27,274 p.a.

Qualifications

• A teaching assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Experience of working with children.
• Excellent standards of literacy, numeracy and spoken English.
• Support pupils' learning needs.
• Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and communication skills to support pupils with different needs and abilities.
• Work flexibly and be committed to fun, creative and engaging activities.
