Job summary

Folkston Park Care and Rehab is seeking a Cook / Dietary Aide to prepare and portion meals for residents, following prescribed diets and safety practices. You will ensure meals meet temperature and presentation standards while maintaining cleanliness and accurate record-keeping.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience, a high school diploma, and a proactive, confidential approach to working with elderly residents in a care setting. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Organized with a high level of attention to detail.
• Desire to work with the elderly.
• Be a self-starter and proactive.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality to ensure HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and/or pre-proportion food for regular and therapeutic diets.
• Follow proper food handling, safety and infection control procedures.
• Serve meals attractively and ensure correct portioning and temperature.
• Record food temperatures and monitor fridge/freezer temps.
• Assemble trays per menu, diet orders and tray tickets within time schedules.
• Maintain daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and work areas.
