Job summary

Anchor is looking for a Catering Assistant to join the team on a part-time, on-site basis at TS20 1DQ. You will support meal preparation and service, maintain high health, safety and hygiene standards, and help the team operate efficiently in a caring environment.

Based at Millbeck, you’ll be part of a friendly, patient-focused kitchen. A Level 2 Food Safety Certificate is preferred or willingness to obtain it, with a commitment to teamwork and quality food service.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate is required or willingness to obtain.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment.
• Experience working with older people is ideal, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and service of nutritious, well-presented meals.
• Ensuring all health, safety, and hygiene standards are followed to the highest level.
• Helping minimise waste and using kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Supporting the catering team and communicating any issues promptly.
