Job summary

Landemere Derby is seeking a Catering Assistant to help deliver nutritious, well-presented meals and support a friendly, supportive team.

You’ll follow health, safety and hygiene standards, assist with service, minimise waste, and work closely with colleagues to ensure residents receive great meals every day. This is a hands-on role at our Derby site with opportunities to grow. Applicants must have Level 2 Food Safety or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety and COSHH procedures.
• Previous experience in a catering or kitchen environment.
• Experience working with older people (ideal, but not essential).

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the preparation and service of nutritious, well-presented meals.
• Ensuring all health, safety, and hygiene standards are followed to the highest level.
• Helping minimise waste and using kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
• Supporting the catering team and communicating any issues promptly.
