Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is recruiting for a Kitchen Assistant at our Newcross Care Home in Wolverhampton. Your focus will be to support the catering function in food preparation and maintain a clean environment to ensure high quality meals for residents.

You will hold a Basic Food Hygiene Certificate, understand Health and Safety practices, and work efficiently in a demanding environment with a team. We value care, respect and accountability and offer a supportive workplace where you can grow

Qualifications

• Hold Basic Food Hygiene Certificate and demonstrate high personal hygiene standards.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety, Moving and Handling, Fire Safety and COSHH.
• Able to work efficiently with physical effort and respond to a demanding workload.
• Demonstrate initiative and flexible team work.

Responsibilities

• Support catering function in food preparation and maintain a clean environment for safe production.
• Advise on supply and quality of items and assist with timely ordering of replacement goods.
• Respect residents and visitors, upholding dignity and individuality of each resident.
