Abbeyfield Living Society is seeking a dedicated General Assistant - Housekeeping/Domestic at Hope Bank View, Silksworth, Sunderland. The role focuses on keeping resident environments clean, tidy and welcoming, assisting with meal preparation, and supporting kitchen staff to deliver high-quality meals.

No prior care experience is required as full training is provided. We value high standards and a caring approach, and offer a supportive team environment with opportunities for development.

Responsibilities

• You’ll help keep the Home clean and tidy for residents and assist with meal preparation.
• You’ll support the Kitchen staff in preparing meals presented to a high standard.
• You may work within cleaning and housekeeping schedules set by the Home Manager or Housekeeper.
• You may clean residents’ bedrooms, self-contained flats, communal areas and offices as required.
• You’ll follow hygienic practices to keep kitchen and store areas clean and safe.
