Job summary

Abbeyfield Living Society is seeking a General Assistant (Housekeeper, Cook and Domestic) on a bank agreement at 8 Willow Wong, Burton Joyce, Nottingham NG14 5FD. You’ll help keep the home clean, assist with meal preparation, and warmly welcome visitors.

The role offers flexible hours with pay £12.21–£13.62 per hour, paid on a casual bank basis. Training is provided, with DBS checks and two references required to proceed.

• Willingness to learn and follow training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Keep the home clean and tidy for residents.
• Assist with meal preparation and kitchen readiness.
• Welcome and assist visitors and relatives.
• Support housekeeping schedules and duties as directed by the Home Manager or Housekeeper.
• Assist in cleaning residents' rooms, flats, and communal areas.
