As a Swissport Cargo Warehouse Agent based at Gatwick International Airport, you will organize warehouse and storage facilities, arrange handling equipment, and load/unload air cargo. You will ensure safety and quality standards are maintained, and comply with SOPs and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading air cargo onto vehicles and storage areas.
• Preparing and palletizing cargo as needed.
• Ensuring accuracy of cargo paperwork.
• Handling and delivering cargo properly, operating related equipment.
• Following Dangerous Goods Regulations.
• Delivering air cargo to recipients if required.
• Handling live animals with care as needed.
• Operating specialist equipment such as vans, forklifts, cargo dollies/trailers.
• Reporting equipment malfunctions.
• Adhering to legislation, airport security, and Swissport SOPs.
• Maintaining safety and security standards at all times.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Flexible to work various shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficient in English.
• Ability to travel to the airport when public transport is unavailable.
• Ability to follow procedures and adapt flexibly.
• Willingness to work in bad weather conditions.
• Capable of manual work, lifting up to 32kg repeatedly.
• Team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Full driving license preferred.
• Experience in aviation is desirable.
