Depot Connect International (DCI) is seeking a Registered Cargo Tank Inspector for our Gibraltar, MI location. The role requires 5+ years in tank and/or trailer inspection and repair, with pay ranging from $29 to $37 per hour depending on experience.

The ideal candidate can diagnose failures, perform tank service and trailer repairs, and ensure DOT HM183 compliance. Training is provided to become a registered inspector within six months, with comprehensive DCI benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Inspector, or eligible to become within 6 months.
• 5+ years of tank and/or trailer inspection/repair experience.
• Ability to diagnose failures in mechanical or electrical systems on tank trailers.
• Experience with air brake systems.
• TIG welding experience is optional.

Responsabilités

• Diagnose failures and repair mechanical, electrical or other systems on a tank trailer.
• Perform tank service and repair on tanks and trailers.
• Repair trailer suspension components.
• Work with air brake systems and perform associated repairs.

We are currently searching for a Registered Cargo Tank Inspector with 5+ years of tank and/or trailer repair and inspection experience for our Gibraltar, Mi Location!

Pay: $29-$37/hr Dependent on experience.

Skill-based pay rate reviews and potential increases every 6 months.

Demonstrated skill in most of the following areas:

• The ability to diagnose failures and make repairs on mechanical, electrical or other various systems on a tank trailer.
• Tank service and repair
• Trailer suspension installation and repair
• Experience with air brake systems and repairs
• TIG aluminum, stainless or carbon welding experience (optional)
• Ability to effectively and efficiently inspect tanks and trailers to align with DOT standards (HM183, hazmat)
• Must be a Registered Inspector, or eligible to become a registered inspector within 6 months

Physical Demands:

• The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• With assistance, occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds
• Must be able to fit through a tank trailer manhole
• Must be able to work in confined spaces
