Making A Difference as a Caretaker in Schools Traded Services
Caretakers are responsible for the care, security, and operational effectiveness of our teams, supporting our schools.
Responsibilities include being key holders, organizing contractors for repairs, storing cleaning equipment, ventilation management, grounds maintenance, and more.
Caretakers should demonstrate good working practices in cleaning, health and safety procedures, and hazard awareness.
Effective communication and sensitivity are essential, as caretakers interact with many inside and outside the school. Organisation skills are important for managing work and completing routine paperwork.
