Caretaker

12.5 hours per week, term time only plus 3 weeks in school holidays

St Andrew’s CE Primary School

Salary: £24,027 - £24,404 pro rata (pay award pending)

Actual Salary: £7,551 - £7,670

Grade: 3

Hours: 12.5 hours per week (7.00am – 8.00am) and (4.45pm – 6.15pm)

Contract Type: Part-Time, Permanent, Term-Time plus 3 weeks (42 weeks p.a.)

Start Date: 1st August 2025 (negotiable)

Location: St Andrew’s CE Primary School, Ferrers Road, Weston, Stafford. ST18 0JN.

Mid-Trent Multi Academy Trust is seeking to appoint a caretaker at St Andrew’s CE Primary School. This is a key role and so the school is looking to appoint an enthusiastic and proactive individual to the post.

St Andrew’s CE Primary is a good school and is proud to be at the heart of their thriving local community. The successful candidate(s) will join a friendly, caring and highly-supportive learning community and will benefit from the feeling of making a difference to the lives of young people in the school’s care.

The successful candidate will have a varied role, being responsible for duties such as unlocking and securing the premises, completing and recording regular system checks (fire alarms, water, lighting) and also general maintenance, grounds clearing and inspections. Flexibility will be needed for some maintenance duties and supporting the Trust with absences as required.
