  • Open and secure the school buildings daily, no evening lettings required

  • Take the lead in planning and managing maintenance and cleaning schedules

  • Oversee the cleaning team and manage supplies and equipment

  • Monitor heating, water systems, and safety compliance in partnership with leadership

  • Carry out day-to-day repairs, such as plumbing, decorating, and minor works

  • Support small building projects and oversee external contractors

  • Keep the school site safe, functional, and well-presented throughout the year

What We're Looking For

  • Hands-on experience in building / site maintenance or facilities management

  • Great practical skills and confidence to carry out minor repairs

  • Organised, dependable, and able to manage your own workload

  • Health & safety knowledge and a proactive, can-do attitude

  • Strong communication skills across the school community

  • Experience in a school or similar environment

  • Basic trade qualifications

  • Enthusiasm for creating a safe and inspiring space for children to learn

What We Can Offer You

  • A full-time, year-round role with flexible hours negotiable

  • Paid holiday (taken during school holidays)

  • A supportive, collaborative team who value your input

  • A well-maintained site and excellent facilities

  • A genuinely meaningful role where your work supports the wellbeing and learning of young people

  • The chance to take real pride in keeping a busy and successful school running smoothly

Working hours are typically 6am – 9:15am and 2:15pm – 5:30pm Monday to Thursday, finishing at 5pm on Fridays – but they are happy to discuss alternative patterns.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
