Job description

School Caretaker / Site Facilities Assistant & Maintenance Operative is required for a school in Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire. The successful candidate should be energetic, physically fit, proactive, and organized, with trade strengths in areas such as painting, plumbing, or carpentry being advantageous but not essential.

The role involves maintaining the school site, ensuring a clean and safe environment, carrying out repairs and maintenance, and supporting health and safety regulations. Lifting, moving furniture, and handling deliveries are also part of the job. Full health and safety training will be provided.

Salary: £27,333 per year (including a 12% shift allowance of £2,928.60) plus benefits.

Location: Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire.

Type: Full-Time, Permanent.

Hours: 37 hours per week, working a two-week shift pattern: 6.30am-2.30pm and 11.00am-7.00pm, with flexibility required.
