Overview

School Caretaker / Site Facilities Assistant & Maintenance Operator is required for a School based in Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire. The role suits a physically fit, pro-active and organised handyperson. Specific trade strengths such as painting / decorating / plumbing / electrics / carpentry are advantageous but not essential.

Salary: £25,186 per annum plus 14% shift allowance (totalling £28,712 per annum) + Excellent Benefits

Location: Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire

Job type: Full-Time, Permanent

Working hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, rotating shift pattern (pattern to be agreed at appointment)

Responsibilities
  • Join the Site Team in maintaining the school site to provide a clean and safe environment for all users.
  • Carry out general repairs and maintenance, including both building and grounds maintenance. Use initiative and problem solve while adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Utilise trade strengths where applicable (painting / decorating / plumbing / electrics / carpentry) though these are advantageous, not essential.
  • Assist with lifting, moving and handling of furniture and deliveries as part of the role.
  • Full health and safety training will be provided.
