Overview

School Caretaker / Site Facilities Assistant & Maintenance Operative who is a physically fit, pro-active and organised handyperson is required for a School based in Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire.

If you have a specific trade strength such as painting / decorating / plumbing / electrics / carpentry this would be an advantage but is not essential.

SALARY: £25,186 per annum plus 14% shift allowance (totalling £28,712 per annum) + Excellent Benefits

LOCATION: Hedge End, Southampton, Hampshire

JOB TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

WORKING HOURS: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, worked on a rotating shift pattern (shift pattern to be agreed at appointment)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a School Caretaker / Site Facilities Assistant & Maintenance Operative who is a physically fit, pro-active and organised handyperson.

Working as the School Caretaker / Site Facilities Assistant & Maintenance Operative you will join the Site Team in maintaining the school site in order to provide a clean and safe environment for all users of the school.

As the School Caretaker / Site Facilities Assistant & Maintenance Operative you will work with the site team ensuring general repairs and maintenance are carried out. This will include both building maintenance and grounds maintenance. You will need to be able to use your initiative and problem solve whilst ensuring that health and safety regulations are adhered to.

Specific trade strengths in any area such as painting / decorating / plumbing / electrics / carpentry would be an advantage but not essential. Lifting, moving and handling of furniture and deliveries also form an important part of the job.
