At Glasgow City Health and Social Care Partnership (GCHSCP), our team is responsible for day-to-day building safety checks and compliance to ensure that buildings are safe, secure, and satisfactorily maintained. The Caretaker role requires basic building Health and Safety checks to be carried out and the recording of this information. Undertaking general maintenance duties as detailed on the daily, weekly, and monthly task sheets. The Caretaker will act as the first point of contact for contractors and maintain the visitor’s log.
You will be working in a geographical hub providing a caretaking service to elderly and children care home settings, office accommodation, and day care centres. You will perform minor repairs and log larger repairs with our building contractor to ensure a high standard of accommodation is maintained. Duties are both internal and external.
Membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme is essential on taking up the appointment. Please note successful candidates for the above role will be required to pay for their PVG Membership/or Scheme Checks.
These roles are excepted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions) (Scotland) Order 2013 (as amended).
