Job description

Position: Caretaker

Location: Bournemouth

Part-Time Caretaker role of 15 hours a week

Salary: £9,750.00

Holiday: 20 shifts plus bank holidays

Attend site 15 hours per week, three hours daily.

Hours required to work by the Caretaker:

• Monday 09:00 to 12:00
• Tuesday 13:00 to 16:00
• Wednesday 09:00 to 12:00
• Thursday 09:00 to 12:00
• Friday 09:00 to 12:00

The role of Caretaker involves:

1. The refuse collectors attend site on a Thursday morning. The bins need to be put out on Wednesday (at end of shift). Once all of the bins have been emptied, the bins need to be returned to their correct positions within the garage areas during Thursday's shift.
2. Vacuum cleaning of the main foyer entrance, lifts, each floor’s landing outside the lifts, and the carpet outside the lifts in the garage area on specified days, with additional cleaning as required.
3. Sweeping and dusting stairways every two months or as needed.
4. Weekly sweeping of the underground garage area to clear leaves and rubbish.
5. Weekly dusting and cleaning of fixtures, handrails, skirtings, and internal front doors.
6. Keeping the entrance area clear of cobwebs, sweeping porch areas, and keeping outside areas free of leaves, litter, and obstructions.
7. Cleaning lift mirrors and sanitising push button panels daily.
8. Quarterly cleaning of inside of foyer and landing windows.
9. Clearing outside areas of leaves and litter.
10. Daily checking and replacing light bulbs, inspecting outside and landing lighting, and reporting faults.
11. Daily building inspections and keeping the garage roof clear of debris.
12. Basic DIY maintenance and assisting residents with small maintenance tasks.
13. Maintaining a daily record of work and reporting faults.

This is a lovely part-time role for someone with maintenance or good DIY experience to act as Caretaker for a residential block in Bournemouth.
